やりがいと緊張感
続いています。
6月末くらいまで続くかもしれない。。
帰宅すると、
リラックスとにかくしたいって思うんです。
今日は、焼酎に、タピオカ。。。極楽のひと時です。
でも、21時からまた経済の勉強です。。
So worth trying but hard at the same time..
that's what I've been doing for my work for a little while.
It'll last probably til the end of June.
As soon as I get home,
all I think is to just relax.
Tonight I'm doing it with Shochu and Tapioca..
But again I'll resume studying (Economics) from 9pm tonight..

RIP, 2 great Jewish creators
A documentary movie upon Sassoon's life will be open soon in Tokyo.
(I saw it over a year ago in NY, was a GREAT movie)
"Where the Wild Things Are", of course, is also a great movie.
Beautiful soundtrack!!
最近二人のすばらしいクリエーター（共にユダヤ系）が
亡くなりました。
二人の作品大好きです。
偶然としか言いようが無いのだけど、サスーンの映画が
近々日本で公開です。
（私はオリジナルを1年以上前にNYのトライベッカフィルムフェスティバルで
見まして、とにかくすばらしい映画。）
怪獣の映画も同じく、NYで見ました。
映画の内容だけでなくサントラもとっても美しい！！

仕事が楽しみならば人生は極楽。義務ならば地獄 (Maxim Gorky)
細々とやっているこのブログも、閲覧数というのを管理人（＝私）は
見られるわけですが、
毎日見てくださっている方がいらっしゃるようです。
励みになります、どうもありがとうございます。

「就活失敗し、自殺する若者4年で2.5倍に」（読売新聞）
私Skylerのことを振り返ってみますと、
もちろん私自身も就活、転職を経験していますし、
「いつも楽だなぁ」なんて思ったことは一度もありません。
ただ、家族の影響で小さいときからごく普通に日本語と英語に
慣れ親しんでいたこと、また、自分の意思で日本国外で勉強・勤務をしながら
生活をした経験がある程度の長さあること、などが
ある一定の強さで有利に働くため、
「職探しは苦しいだけだ！」と思ったことが無いのも事実です。
どの国でも雇用の問題を抱えていますが、
日本における雇用の問題は、日本の社会や構造が長年かけて
生み出してきたゆがみです。
日本語の本も英語の本も含めて
ここ数年雇用についての文献を読んできていますが、
どんな解決策がある、などとなかなか私自身言えないのです。
I know my update is not that often, but
I can see some (sometimes many!) people see this blog everyday..
and it encourages me to go on.

Today's Yomiuri Newspaper says that the suicide rate of the young
in Japan has increased 2.5 times more in the last four years.
When I look back how my youth was (I'm still young!),
in which I experienced Shukatsu and Tenshoku (job hunt as new grad and
job change as mid-career), I do understand it is not always easy.
Thanks to my family, though, I've been familiarizing myself
with Japanee and English since my childhood, and also
I have lived in New York for both studying and working for
a certain length of time.
This background surely brings me some advantage for my career,
so my job search has never been 'nothing but pain,' either.
Any country has its own employment issue.
As for Japanese case, it certainly is a distortion
coming a long way from how Japanese society or structure has been.
I've been keeping my eyes on many books (in Japanese and English)
upon employment issues, but
it is too complicated to just simply say what the solution is
for the current young people struggling in Japan.

Serious voice over job
今日はとある顧客の企業のために、
videoを作り、またそれにかぶせるナレーションを作成し、
そして私の声で録音までしました。
あ、ちなみに英語です。
楽しかったですが正直疲れました。。
（時間制限やイメージがあるため、何度も
やりなおすのです。）
今はゆっくりしています。
Today I made a video,
words for voice over on that
(in English by the way), then even
recorded it with my own voice.
(This is all for one of my clients' company PR video.
Cannot tell the name as it is confidential!)
We had to do it over and over again to adjust my voice to
fit into the company image, and also due to time restriction.
It was a great fun, but a bit tiring at the same time..
Now it is time to chill out.. :-)

花言葉は「慰め」（、他色々）
私は、最近、より専門的なキャリアを築けそうなチャンスを
提示されました（社内転職）。
今、それを手に入れられるように毎日勉強しています。
まだまだ自分に足りないところがあるけど、
好きな分野の勉強は楽しい！
緊張した頭をほぐすには、

There're so many different departements in my company.
Recently I noticed that there are a few open positions for me
to challenge something more exciting (=internal job change).
So, that's why I am studying so hard these days..
knowing I'm not enough!
What I can say is studing what you like is far from
feeling tortured! :-)
Then I always close my books at night
and start relaxing with geranium oil from Marks and Web,
my favorite... :-)
